CSU Extension Summer Classes

 

 

Featuring in August - Insect ID

We have scheduled some hands-on classes for this summer for Master Gardeners, the local Green Industry and the general public to help us all grow better gardens!  The classes will be taught by CSU Extension Specialists and educators and practiced gardeners.  We will offer the classes at various locations in our area.  The cost for each class varies depending on the topic.  We already had a successful first class Ornamental Shrub Pruning in April!!!

This is our basic schedule: 

April 6             Ornamental Shrub Pruning       9-noon, Glockson Bldg, Norwood    
May 17             Rain Water Harvesting         
9 am– noon, Placerville School House
 June 15 & 29     Trough Gardens
2 pm—4 pm, Placerville School House
 July                    Lawn Care
9-12:30, Glockson Bldg, Conf Room, Norwood
 August 15           Insect Identification         
1 pm—5 pm, Norwood Fire Station
 September 21    Composting & HASE Open House   1 pm—5 pm, Telluride

All Classes cost $10 except the trough garden class.  SMC employees & CMGs are $5.  Checks or cash only accepted to reserve your spot.
